This year's UTurn in Ararat, Victoria will be on 2 - 5 May 2025. Pack the car and bring along your tools, lunch and dinner provided Saturday and Sunday, as well as lunch on Monday. There is a raffle at all 4 of the weekend meals, with great prizes, everything from tools to finishes and timber to add to the pile! There is also an optional dinner at the Ararat RSL on Friday night, each pays for their own, just advise if you will be there or not for booking purposes. You can set up from Friday morning onwards, departure is after lunch on Monday, earlier if you need to. The fee to join is $100 and includes the meals as above and some great company. There are caravan parks and motels in Ararat you can stay at. There is no onsite accommodation, although caravans can be parked, providing you are self-sufficient for power and water.. They would really love to have some new faces attending this year. The Blackall Range Woodcrafters Guild is holding a "Wonderful Weekend o Wood) on 3 &4 May 2025, 9.00 am - 3.00 pm at the Montville Sportsground (3 km south of Montville). Exhibition and sale, live demonstrations, timber sales, raffles and free shed tours. A flyer is attached.

There will be a Heritage Makers Fair in Gympie on 5 - 6 July 2025. The fair is considered to be one of the largest of its kind in Queensland. The fair includes woodworking and quilts and more. The Cooroora Woodcraft Show will be held on 10-11 October, 2025 at the Cooroy Memorial Hall, Maple St Cooroy Q 4563.
Demonstrations of carving, turning, scroll sawing, pyrography and more will be continuously held during the show.
Purchase a variety of beautifully finished timber pieces including milled timber. Check out the inter-club, intra-club and high school competition exhibits, vote for the People’s Choice award and buy tickets in our very popular woodwork raffle.
